So, you wanna know where you should stay...

Universal Area

It appears that a group of people are staying in hotels at or near Universal. For those not familiar with Orlando, Universal is right between Orlando and Disney (20 min or so from each). Universal has 2 theme parks as well as City Walk, a strip of restaurants, bars, shops, and a movie theater.

**Royal Pacific Resort: Attached to the theme parks, this is a very convenient option though probably slightly more expensive than some of the i-drive options.

**Days Inn Maingate: Located just off of Universal's property, this is a great choice that will allow you to save a few dollars without losing much of the convenience.

Radison Twin Towers: A "seriously" wired hotel for those of you that think of such things on your travels. It's within walking distance of Universal. Thanks to LazarusLong for finding it for us!

Holiday Inn & Suites: Another hotel right by Universal that was pointed out by LazarusLong.

Downtown Orlando

Four Points Sheraton: Right downtown Orlando overlooking Lake Eola. Within walking distance to the Orlando nightlife and Thorton Park (cute little area with some nice shops and restaurants).

A few people will be staying at imbri's house which is just outside of downtown.

Disney Area

I am not aware of anyone that is staying on Disney property, however don't let that discourage you if that is what you want to do! As for budget hotels, the All-Stars really aren't bad. In the mid-range hotels, I really like Port Orleans. Slightly more expensive are the Yacht & Beach clubs, but they're fantastic. However, my favorite resort is the Animal Kingdom Lodge where you wake up to giraffes and zebras and other assorted wildlife right outside of your room (and the best coffee in all of Disney).

As more people let us know where they're staying or request additional information, this page will be updated. Please, if you've already booked a hotel that's not listed here, let Brooke (imbri) know. For other hotel suggestions, please check on the unforums (post 1, post 2)!

**Several people have booked rooms here.
